Such Splendid Sight tickets available

We have been receiving phone calls, email messages and website comments from people concerned that they will not be able to get a ticket for A Medieval Christmas: Such Splendid Sight Was Never Seen.

As the angel says (although not in this show), “Fear not!” St Thomas’s is a large church. While tickets sell well for this event, we have never run out of seats. If you arrive with cash in hand, you should be fine. Seating is general admission.

Please Join Us for a Celebration of Luella Massey

Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 / 7 pm
Hart House Theatre, University of Toronto

For several decades, Luella “Lou” Massey was a fixture and foundation stone of the Graduate Centre for Study of Drama (recently renamed the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies) at the University of Toronto. In the spirit of Lou’s remarkable contribution, we are planning a party. On Wednesday, December 4th, 2013, we will gather to remember and celebrate Lou with stories, music, and dancing. The event will be held in the Hart House Theatre (Lou’s ‘home away from home’ for many years) on the University of Toronto campus. And we would very much like you to join us.

Many, many people have lasting memories of Lou, and we would like to make them part of the evening and part of Lou’s enduring legacy. We invite you to send us — by email, fax, or regular post — your “Most Vivid Memory of Luella Massey.” It need only be a few words of appreciation or a fond moment you shared, but we also welcome anecdotes and photographs (the latter, preferably, in electronic format). All submissions received will be included on a dedicated webspace, and a small group of Lou’s family and closest friends will select a number of these to be presented at the gathering.

For the purposes of planning, please RSVP by December 1 to Rebecca Biason at rebecca.biason@utoronto.ca. Your “Most Vivid Memory of Luella Massey” can be sent to the same email address, by fax to 416-971-1378, or by regular post to:

Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies
University of Toronto
214 College Street, 3rd floor
Toronto, ON
CANADA / M5T2Z9
Attention: Memories of Lou

Additional information about the event can also be sought from Rebecca, who will direct inquiries to the appropriate members of the event planning team.

We hope that as many as possible of Lou’s friends will be able to join us for an evening of reminiscence and celebration. Please feel free to distribute this invitation widely.
